Letter

France 9/10/16 Dear Sister I received your ever welcome letter a few days ago, I won't be there to eat the contents of the parcel, but I left word for Cpl. Hunt to get it so it won't be wasted. I am away down on the sea shore just now taking a course on the gun that we have, I think it will last for about sixteen days, it will be a change from the trenches for a while, if the weather would only dry up it would be a lot better, but it has been raining all the time since we came down here we are within sight of the Old Country, but it never has been clear enough for us to have a look across yet, but it may dry up yet before we leave here, well I think this is all this time hope to hear from you soon. I remain Your loving brother Alex
