No 424447 F Coy 32 Res Battn Risboro Barrks Shorncliffe 17/1/16 Dear Sister I received your letter last week, and I received your parcel on Sunday thanks very much for the same, everything was allright but the honey had all melted owing to it being delayed on the road, Well I am sorry to see that you have both been sick, hope you are well by the time this reaches you as it leaves me fine, we are having a little bit more rain down here again, it has been raining nearly every day, but we did have a few day that was fairly good but it don't last long enough, Well it won't be so bad as long a Father can get his job there is sure to be something turn up for Tom to do, even if there is not they won't be so bad off. They have passed a new order down here they are only paying us half our pay now we are going to get the rest of it when we get back to Canada so we will have to go a little easy under our new rules, but it will be allright if we come back we will have a little money to draw, I think that is all this time hope to hear from you again. I remain Your loving brother Alex
