No 424447 F Coy 32 Res Battn Risboro Barrks Shorncliffe 10/2/16 Dear Sister I received the parcle you sent to me today thanks very much for it, I had two meals out of it it arrived in time for dinner so I had dinner and supper out of it so I did not eat much army grub today, we are having a bit better weather down here now that is for the last week it has been freezing every night, it has dryed the place up pretty good, and it is a lot better than rain, for a change but I don't suppose it will last very long but it will soon be summer another month and a half and we should be getting a little warmer, I don't know when I will be going away there has been quite a lot of the fellows left our Company for France, but they just keep picking out darfts a few at a time. I may go on the next one and I may not we never know who is going but I suppose we will all get away some time it is about time we had a change now I don't think I will get any more leave now wages won't stand a leave nowadays, well I think this is all this time hope this finds you all well as it leaves me fine.
