France 29/4/1916 Dear Sister You will be wondering what is the matter with me when I have not written, it seems as though something always happens just as I start to write I started this letter yesterday and I only got the first few lines written, but I will try and finish it this morning, we are having some nice weather out here just now and I hope it continues to be fine for some time to come, we are not in the front line trench yet but we will be there some time this week, this is the first time for me but every thing is all right so far but perhaps by the time I have finished this trip I will know a little more, I don't know whether I sent you my address or not, but this will find me No 424447 7th Brigade M G Coy Canadians B.E.F France well I don't think there is very much more that I can write about, I will try and write more next time hope this finds you all well as it leaves me fine hope to hear from you soon. I remain Your loving brother Alex
