My Dear Mother,

Not feeling quite so brilliant to-day. Haven't had my usual quota of snoozes this morning for both the other patients in this room had visitors- their wives & father of one & they will be back this afternoon. They are now discussion how & when & so on the wounding - their C/O & 6 other officers at once.

The nursing sister has moved me over directly in front of the window & from here I can see the ocean & the steamers & several other hospitals.
