Dear Brother,

Well how is farming going? Many a time I wish I was on the farm again but we are soldiers now. It has been raining here the last couple of days and we have been having a rest.

I am glad to hear that you have finished seeding. So the 179th have gone to Sewell. I guess they are there for all summer alright. and maybe won't see Eng. till next winter. They are will have a good time the summer in Canada.

I t is too bad that [?] lost her colt. There must be something wrong with her as that is the third colt she has lost. How are your young pigs getting along? I guess port is a good price now.

How much summer fallow have you got this summer? Well Frank this is about all the news this time.

From you loving brother
Jim
