Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I received you letter this morning dated Nov 28th and was very glad to hear from you. The Flu seems to be taking off quite a few but it is a great rage over here they are dying by the hundreds.

Did you see Dickie dear since he came home. I had a letter from Ell the other day she said they all had the Flu. but were better, did any of you have it; I had a slight attack but am allright now.

We are having awfully wet weather here now but it is nice and warm.

By what the papers say over here they are going to send all the casualties home first so possibly I might be home by the spring.

I am getting along fine now since I've had my operation, and am out again. I heard they had a few in in the New Convalscent home and were expecting quite a few from Halifax. I suppose the papers are full now about discharges and all there going to do for the soldiers.

I am being transferred back to Barn House to day it is a V.A.D. Auxillary Hospital and you certainly gets lots to eat and well looked after.

I must ring off for now. Write Soon

Good Bye
A Hamm.
