Dear mother

I hope you are all quite well, I had a letter from you tonight, whish I was very pleased to receive, we are getting Bread now from Borne sent by the Red Cross, it is quite good Bread, so as you say in your letter, it will be as well if you dont send any more, & when you send Tobacco dont send Chir[?] & can smoke anything send some that is cheaper. I had two of my teeth stopped, I am glad they are done, as you can quite imanage things are not very convient for the Dentist.

I wish I was at Home to help the Boys, it is to bad that they have to work so hard I am afraid I wouldnt shine at the Cow milking though I never was much of a Hand at milking.

I hope that you are getting my letters & cards more regular now, for I never miss a week either sending a card or Letter.

I dont think that you will have to send money to the goverment, for them to send Parcels, dont do it in any case, as I have assegned some of my Pay to the Red Cross, & they are the people that send the Parcels to the Canadians, Tell Hugh that I am awaiting another Letter from him, when he can spare the time to write but I guess that he doesnt feel much like writing by the time he has finished work.

I had a nice letter from maggie, a few days ago. Len seems to be having a good time this fall.

I am sorry I have no news, but you can quite understand that I am in very good health give my love to all at Home & to Emmie & Joan
