Dear mother

I have not had a letter from you for some time now. I received a parcel from you, or at least from Emmy dated 30 Nov/16. it was her Xmas Parcel, it came in very hand for it is over a month since I got one from the Red Cross, I am writing my P.C to them tonight complaining about it, I dont know what can be the matter with them, I must thank Emmy for her Parcel it was a very nice one. We are having very wet weather now I am quite well I am getting on very well with my French, I take a lesson every day, at night then during the day, the Frenchman set me some Exercises to do, I have not tackled any other languages, I want to get a good knoledge of French first, it will be the most useful.

I hope that every bod at Home is all right, give my love & thanks to Emmy & all the Boys
