Dear Mother

I hope you are all quite well, it is quite a long time since I had a letter from you, but there's been very few letters coming through lately.
I am working in the letter Office at Loltaa now, it is not at all a bad job it helps to pass the time away anyhow. I believe the Suit I wrote to you about has just arrived, so I shall be all right for clothes again.

I hope you had a good Xmas & that you got my card by Xmas time, it is a part of the Camp shown in the Photo, the driveway between W1, & W2 Camp.
Quite a lot of the NCO's are going to Holland, I dont know if it will affect me or not yet, I hope that it does.

We had quite nice Xmas Weather here, quite a lot of snow on the ground. I didnt get my Xmas parcel, I suppose that it is on the way.

I am still working at French I gave the German up, because I was getting mixed of trying to learn the two at once. It is quite some time since I had a letter from Maggie almost a month. The mails must be held up some place I supose give my regards to Mr & Mrs Arkinstall, I hope that they are all right, you have'nt mentioned them for some time We have had pretty cold weather here for some time, colder than we got in England as a rule give my love to Emmy & her family, I hope the little Boy is going on all right, with love to all at Home, & best wishes for the New Year. your loving Son Tom.
