Dec. 1 Nothing unusual
" 2 Nothing unusual.
" 3 Reported that we are to move soon.
" 4 Had orders to dismount guns, and be prepared to leave in 24 hours. Guns
were loaded, so emptied them into Bapaume.
" 5 Still dismounting guns in the morning, all ready for the road at 3 p.m.
" 6 The whole battery left at 9 a.m. Longueval. Personel going by lorries,
arriving at Corbie at 6.p.m.
" 7 Still at Corbie.
" 8 Left fro Mericourt, arrived at noon. Loaded guns on the trains.
" 9 3 a.m. train left Mericourt with guns and Personell. Lorries going by road
5 p.m. arrived at Bruary.
" 10 Disembarked guns from train. Major Beeman reported at Canadian Corps
Heavy Artillery.
" 11 Gun sent to workshop with a few men, remainder of men went to Aix-N
Noulette.
" 12 Busy at work fixing new position.
" 13 Still busy fixing up gun positions and building dugouts.
" 14 Still fixing up positions.
" 15 Nothing much doing except fixing up dugouts.
" 16 Nothing unusual except looking for O.P. and looking the country over.
" 17 Nothing unusual.
" 18 Guns arrived and started to mount them.
" 19 Still mounting guns. Ammunition arrived.
" 20 Registered all guns on Fosse 6 in Angres.
" 21 More ammunition arrived.
" 22 Did an aeroplane shoot on hostile battery, 200 rounds very successful.
" 23 Registered guns again on Fosse 6.
" 24 Only fired a few rounds.
" 25 Xmas day, everybody in bty. had turkey for dinner. Very quiet.
" 26 Fired 100 rounds on Givenchy.
" 27 fired 50 rounds on Fosse 6.
" 28 Aeroplane shoot on hostile battery, very successful.
" 29 Fired 100 rounds on Angres.
" 30 Nothing unusual.
" 31 Did aeroplane shoot on hostile battery 150 rounds, very successful.
