Dear Sister

Just A few Lines to Let you know I am still In the Land of the Living I received your most welcome Letter and was very glad to hear from you I would have written sooner But I was waiting to get my picture taken so I could send you one. I am still In camp at Rockliffe But we expect to move Into Barracks In the city In A few days As it getting pretty cold In the tents now. I expect we will be In Ottawa until spring I Like the soldiers Life fine I have gained about 20 Lbs since I enlisted we get used very well And have got Lots to eat. Did you hear that Harvy Lafurgey was wounded I saw it in the paper But it did not Wheather He was wounded sarious or not. I am going up to saraham In A couple of weeks for A day or so But she said she dident want to see me come around there with A uniform on But I guess She wont chase me.

I was up home Last night and the folks are all well How are all the Folks out there And [?] Lester coming East this Winter. I am sending you A photo It is all the one I have Left. I think I will close for this time with Love to all And don’t forget to write me Again. I Remain
