Dear Fred
Your letter came while I was at the ranges Longmoor about seven miles away, in tents rain and mud but I can stand the wet now, we shot a hundred each the last fifteen with gas helmets the stuff on the helmet smells bad and the air in it is not enough quite it has a tube to blow the breath out you take air in nose and out mouth we were their for eight days, the villages are good places to live in but the city's are no good Bordon, Liphook, Greyshott, are fine if you have a business but I don't care anything for British, Canadian for mine, we are getting ready for France by the time you get this letter getting cloths today three hundred and fifty will go to the base. I am getting a set of teeth Monday had my old ones out two weeks or more, I had a letter from Mother with Earls letter in it. he is building nice home, you have had some time going about lately, glad to hear from you often will write you again. I may be home sooner than I expected If I get an arm off or eye out, you fixed things up for Mary I hear alright hope she gets help soon enough about the last of Oct.
Any letters will be sent to us so write your brother
