Dear Fred
We are back in our old huts again, had a good time in old London, I think you and I have stood in some of the same places I am sending home a large pack of picture post cards of the best buildings and streets, it something terrable to see the number of girls that walk the streets all the dark night long, and Australians soldiers, they have large felt hats and wide duck belts, their suits are made of better material than ours and they get 6s a day pay, we had a route march this morning about 8 miles I am good for them any time now, we have some good meals today we had some white fish, I try and get two helpings but a great many do not get enough, some times the cooking is very bad but a fellow has got to look out for no 1, We have had quite a lot of rain but have not been wet our huts are not so bad, I got a dandy letter from Mary and our family group it is great the kiddies and Mary are very fine I was looking thin also got a card from Geo. Will write him today, we will be here for a long time I think if we go to soon I am going to look out for no 1. not Little George Will send a card
Your affectionate brother
