My Dear Mir,

Just think, I got two of your letters off one mail on Saturday, something that never happened before, I was sure tickled too.

We have been having rather rotten weather here, days lately are, then all too nice, at night, which means very little sleep. I was up twice last night, but there was very little doing, either time.

Well now, you haven’t anything on us, we never have a late leave now. 8.15 is the limit roll call 9 P.M. and lights out at 9.45. We sure need all the sleep we can get tho, and I try to sneak in a little in my noon hour each day.

Glad you were able to see Gert and Helen, my but she must have grown, of course two years makes a difference. Whenever I think of anyone back there, it is as I left them. I always forget there has been so much time slip away.

How on earth did you get in wrong with Miss F. again? For Heavens sake be careful. If you didn’t get along so well with your work, I suppose she would have “bumped” you long ago.

The idea of writing to me on a diet sheet, I got so damn sick of the sight of them. We can’t get the printed book forms any more, so I have made some on a stencil, one of which I am enclosing. Of course we just have one for a ward, and three standard diets, then many extras. When a convoy comes in, that of course means more work. Then local sick, more work again. Did I ever tell you that we have a word for the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps?

I hope you were able to spend a good deal of time with the Mater while she was there, as it isn’t often they can get to see you. How is Uncle Will doing in the new line? I hope they are able to make a go of it.

O! yes I hear from Bobbie all right. Got a pair of Military brushes on Saturday. I haven’t enough hair to comb, let alone brush. The top of my head was getting so bald, that I have kept the whole thing slipped ever since I came to France, – nearly six months. Two years ago now I fully expected to be back for the 24th, 1918., but goodness knows when we will get back now.

Will watch for the chocolates Dear, as we don’t get many over here.

Sorry the Barnes were out, so Jack is being drafted. It is a wonder they have not got Wilf Hill, but they likely will yet. My but I envy Nixon and Jim McKinnion. They have a lot to be thankful for, believe me.

You get that idea out of your head about coming over here. It would be the soriest day of your life, believe me.

Well now I must be on my table and try to sleep on my table, from seven till eight then finish up my day’s work and get to bed.

Your loving brother,
Worth.
