My Dear Mother,

Among my first mail of seven letters I find yours of the 30th Dec, as well as two from Father January 1st and 8th.

There is nothing new to tell you about this place except that I now get one half day (2 P.M. till 12 midnight each week, and every second day 2-4. This will be a permanent arrangement as long as they keep two of us here, I expect. When one is given charge, I will try to be that one as I like this better than ward work.

We have about seventy patients from the Seaford Hospitals, but inside of six weeks, will likely be getting convoys from France, which will mean some work. We will likely have a pretty busy spring.

I am glad Uncle Abe is getting along so well, I wrote him before we left Moore and wrote Aunt Edith since coming here.

I am very well, but very sleepy. Don’t know why, as I am in bed before ten every night. Guess I am just lazy.

Eggs have taken a big drop here, I believe selling now for about 2/6 per dozen. Of course we never see butter, but get plenty of margarine which costs from -/7 per lb. up to 1/- or more. What we get is really good, and honestly I believe that if I charged you 40¢ for it as butter, you could not tell the difference I cannot myself.

I borrow a V.P.K. from one of the boys, and made several snaps of the buildings, which I will send in a few days. My parcel has not arrived yet. Should be here before Feb. 15th if it is coming.

I cabled change of address yesterday, it does not matter much whether mail comes here or Seaford, as the ambulance makes several trips a day. I fully expect I will be returned to Seaford about March 1st or sooner, but I sincerely hope not, as it is not much of a town. However, we will all have to take our turn at the work there.

Begg has been moved down here, so we are together again for a time at least. We intend going to Church to-night, and will likely get out each Sunday evening.

I have taken down the address of Thos. White and if I ever get over will surely see him. I would like to see both Ireland and Scotland before I return.

Lovingly,
Worth.

Had a letter from “Quinnie and a couple of cards from Miss Ross from Sacramento.
