“C” co., IIIrd Batt. I Brig
Bustard Camp
Salisbury P.
Jan 12th 1915
My dear Dad.-
Am in London again on a four day's pass. I must be lucky for this is the fifth pass I have had. Just arrived last night and am staying at the Commercial Hotel. I intend to have a good look around this time and see all the sights.
You will have noticed that I am in an other company now. It is “C” company the same Co. as Noble.
From the looks of things we may move from Salisbury Plains soon. I hope so for I do not like this waiting around.
Last week I was at a placed called Parkstone Dorset, visiting a Mr. Bowering who used to board at the same place as I in Toronto. I had a fine time, It is close to the English Channel, and I was down on the shore several times. While here I saw the wounded Indians in a hospital here.
In closing Dad let me say how thankful I am to you for sending me the money. It was very good of you, and I thank you with all sincerity. Noble got his alright. Will write more when I get back to camp.
From your loving son
