Dear Sister,
It's such a long time since I wrote to you but I can't help it. I have too much work to do. I can't get time to write. I came out of the trenches the other night and am still OK. Have you heard from Ronald lately? I did some time ago and he said he was getting along fine. I have not got on pass yet cause when a fellow goes into action he has to forget about toy soldiering. I am orderly corporal today. Well I haven't much to say only we are winning.
Your affec. bro. L. Cpl. MacKinnon
