Dearest Dad Mother Bro & Sis & Duke;
Just received your swell letter Dad and sure am pleased to hear from home. Also glad that you are all well. Very sorry to hear that your arm is sore Dad but I hope that it is all over with now. I was very surprised to hear that Leo Perra is home gosh he sure made it fast enough. I do hope it won't take long till I get back however, Dad let's keep up the good spirit and it shouldn't be to long to wait. I'm going back to the Orderly Room tomorrow and wake them all up a bite more. I'll bother them so much that they'll be glad to se me go, ha ha!
Yes Dad I guess it would feel kind of funny going over to Blanches home. I guess it will feel sort of funny also when I walk in to my Sis's home to buts' all in life time I guess.
Well by the rumors I hear they are having a hard time getting boats to take the boy's back. I hope that I'll be able to make up for it by Christmas or New Years there are so many here that have been in the Army ahead of me. That the only way I can make it is by compassionate grounds' so let's keep our fingers crossed. Must go wishing you all the very best of health and may God Bless you all.
From your Son & Bro who is always'
Thinking of you all. My love and kisses.
Louis
