My Dear Wife:

Just a few lines to let you know that we arrived in Vancouver OK. When the boat got in it was snowing, & it snowed all the time till we left. There is lots of snow from Agassiz on. They gave us breakfast on the boat. We have 2 cars to ourselves. Some of the Army Service Corps are on board. I suppose they see that the CPR give us the proper grub, I met Barlow in Van & he told me the CPR sent out a lot of detectives to look after the bridges until we got by. At all the bridges we passed so far we have met guards. Just saw a C.N.R. train going to Van across the Fraser. I certainly missed you last night & this morning I hope that you will not fret & worry over me, for I will be back O.K. I'll bet dody & Evelyn miss me too. Now, you dear old sweetheart, don't worry, just go on as if I was there. I know it is hard, but try. This is all at present. Send me Mondays nights Times
with love and kisses to self & children
