Dear Mother:

Its about 3 weeks since I last heard from you I think but I haven't had any mail since I left Corps. However I suppose it will turn up someday soon.

Am enjoying myself pretty well now. The Belgian people are very good to us. Am still at Mons.

I saw King Albert of Belgium a few days ago.

Gee but I wish we were on the track for home, now. But I suppose it will be months and months yet. Can you be in Truro when I do go? I'll let you know when the time draws near.

You remember Mac Layton don't you and Lamont Baker. I saw them both a short time ago. They are in the Machine gunners.

Do you know whether Ralph was wounded or not? I wish I knew for sure.

Had a letter a few weeks ago from Herman. He expected to come to France then. (It was written quite a while before the armistice)

What is your address now In your last letter you said you expected to leave Mount Carmel soon but you didn't say where you were going although I had one just before it from New York.

Well this is a very short note but I have to go to work soon
