Letter

Aug. 29. Dear Mother. I received 10 letters today, one from you & so I thought I would drop you line. There is not much new from the letter I wrote 2 days ago. I received one from Fred, Dorthy & Gloria & I wrote them all this afternoon. This is the 6th letter I have written today so don't be disappointed if its short & dry. We flew for a few hrs. this morning It was a lovely day, so rare in this country of rain & mist. I am still waiting for the cigarettes & parcels you sent they are so awfully slow with stuff like that. I hope you mailed that $40 right away as I need it bad. Last pay I got 1£ I'll get the same next pay day until it's paid for. I received a letter from Mrs. Jones also & I wrote her a answer this afternoon. We are stationed in Yorkshire up around Hull. I didn't know Betty had a baby. I had two lovely letters from Marg today also. We still have 3 weeks or possibly more of training before we start our operations. We have had some fairly nice days, not hot but almost warm must have been a shade the heat from Canada. We should get some more leave when get to operational station. I intend on spending a few days in London with Auntie Gladis & the rest in Edinborough. I was just reading Glorias letter. She seems to be having a lot of heart trouble Boy is she mad at Bill. She sounds so grown up. she is telling me never to fall in love as it plays havoc with your life. Ha ha, I received some pictures from Marg & 3 letters to. That telegram I sent asking for the money not sent as I addressed it wrong or forgot to put you name on it so I guess I'll have to send again tonight was I ever disappointed as I was waiting for that. Well mother it wont be long now & I'll be home again oh happy day. I guess thats all for now. My love to Dad & the family. You Loving Son Norm
