Dear Father,

Sorry I haven't written to you for so long. Wrote a long letter home a few days ago. Thank you so much for taking all the trouble with the M-C. Will you write when you find out about the lincese? I suppose you didn't manage to get the saddle fixed I suppose I can manage to make it do if you didn't.

Remember saying that I had a letter to some people in England from Mr. Beulty in Vanc. Well when I came home that evening you were here, I looked it up. They live in Croyden which you know is right near here. I also told you about loosing the letter with the E. on it. If you can send me a pound when you get paid I will drop them a card and go up and see them. I will be writing home tomorrow or the next day and I will tell mother to take 20.00 out of what she has of mine, as I know she could use it and I am sure I have been quite a little expense to you. Am getting on fine. My wound is quite healed. Expect to be here at least two weeks more if not three. GMB.
