Dear Mother:-
I have had one letter from you this week and one from each of the boys.
Syd has just got to Epsom and finds it pretty slow although he has been up to see the Rows. I sent him that ten shillings tonight, the half of that $5.00 you sent.
Frank is getting on alright and tells me that Dad has gone on leave to Nice in the south of France.
Mrs. Row sent me a letter about a week ago saying she had seen Syd and he was looking fine. Epsom is only three or four stations away from West Croydon.
I am feeling in the pink of condition and am in training again. I am now doing musketry. The weather is very windy and cold, regular March weather.
Did I tell you that Howard Hennessy has gone to Canada? I saw him the night before he left.
Don't worry about getting us home as we are all pretty good now. I don't think Syd will ever see France again.
Well dear give my love to all.
Jack
