Dear Mother.
Well here we are again, back to work after my ten days leave and none the worse for my experience. I do not know if it can be called work as I have only been here since Saturday night and have put in two days on fatigue so far and start doing P.T. tomorrow. They put me in class III so that means I will have classes. I, II & III and graduation class to go through and then go to the general depot of course that is if I am able to go through it all which I do not think that I will be able to do as my side is pretty sore still and by the way things feel would not be surprised to see me go on the bum again soon. I have just written to Gordon tonight and as it is pretty cold will not try to write a long letter and do not think I could if I tried as there is nothing of any importance to write about anyway. Have not had any letters since the one dated Aug 11th but there should be some coming along soon as I received a Herald dated Aug 24th to-day. Gee but it has rained some this week and has turned beastly cold. I think Uncle Dick sailed a week ago so will be home by now. I spent a couple of days or at least parts of days in Liverpool but only visited the Mays. He does not look at all well and Mrs. May is not any to well either. I should know now in a few weeks what is liable to be done with me and think if it turns bad again will try to have an operation, to get rid of it. This is only a note so do not be disappointed when this is all you will find. Hoping this finds everybody well
Love to all
Your loving son
Gordon
