Up at 4:30. Stood to until 7. Then I had breakfast and shaved. Ordered to proceed to Arras to take over from 13th Bn. Mr. Rimmer and I with Sgt. Got ride up in car with Mjr. Linton. Found whole Bn in cave. Had lunch with the 13th A Coy. We were shelled very heavily while eating lunch and had narrow escape at supper, one waiter being killed.
13th and 8th lost some men during relief. We escaped casualties.
