Dear Mother,

How are you to-night?  We have been out at the ranges all day, I met an old friend to-night, Gordon Moore, he is in the 72nd.  I hope you are all o.k.  Your letter came to-day.  I'll write Sunday.  We got caught in a big rain storm yesterday and got soak to the skin.  The Aunts in Ireland are O.K.
