Dear Mother,
Your card came about half and hour ago but I intended to write to you to-night anyway. I have not been up to Aunt Florrie's since I came back and don't want to go to-night because there is going to be a concert in the recreation room to-night and prizes given out for the field day last Saturday but I will try and go up soon. I had a letter from Violet the other day and will write her soon. Tomorrow is a big day for the 95th. They are going up the Humber Valley for a big sham battle which will last all day. They will have to get up at 4:30 in the morning and expect to leave camp about 7:00. I will not be going however I wish I was. Of course they will have to take the field kitchens and have dinner out side hope it is a nice day. I saw Arthur Moyer in the Y.M.C.A. the other night. He is going home soon. I think it will not be long before I will be home again I guess but just the same it seems a long time since I was home. St. Anne's Choir is going to sing at the Y.M.C.A to-night. They were down before and I heard them then it was very good. This afternoon we were looking up our questions for the exam on Saturday. The 95th is getting up a tug-of-war team to pull against the 74th they were practicing this afternoon but I don't know when it will be pulled off. I guess this be all this time. Love to all.
Your loving son -
Jay
