Dear Mother:-
I haven't got much to say this time But am just writing because I have a good chance now. I haven't received any letters from you for over two weeks now but am looking for one anytime. A couple of days ago I received an Overseas cake from uncle Jack and a nice box from Grace. I wrote to both of them. I also had a letter from Art. He has been transferred to the 4th Canadian machine gun Co. I will write to him to-day. When we were out last time we payed seventy francs. They always get a fling pay before Christmas. We did not get a bath this lat time out though. I am beginning to look forward for those Christmas parcels hope they start and arrive soon. Well I will close now. wishing you all at home a very merry Christmas. Although it may be after Christmas when you get this letter.
Jay.
