Toronto, Ex Camp
December 10, 1915

Dear Mother,

I suppose you are looking for a letter again. This afternoon I went up to Aunt Florrie's for dinner. Aunt Elizabeth was there but Grace has gone down to the beach. I had a letter from Violet this week. We do not expect to leave before next week Sunday as something went wrong with the boat and the sailing was postponed for a week. We might possibly go before then though hope we do. It has been a fine day here to-day and a big crowd came down. Last night I was on Camp [?] on Queen Street. I had a card from Roy Howells and he is coming back to-morrow. He has been sick and did not come back from his four days leave. Last Tuesday we had a farewell route march through the city and had dinner at Riverdale Park. It rained all the time we were out. The 92nd Highlanders went away last Thursday but I guess they will wait for us at Montreal. Yesterday afternoon I went up to Dixons and had my photograph taken. But they won't be ready till Jan. 12th so Grace will have to get them. This will be all this time. Love to all.

Your son,
Jay
