Dear Mrs. Nelson:
This will acknowledge your letter of the 25th inst., in which you have advised me that you have not received word regarding your son since August 5th.
I will be very pleased to make inquiry for you from Ottawa regarding him, but would appreciate it if you would advise me of his regimental number, as it will be necessary for me to give this to the Department in making the inquiry.
As soon as I receive this information from you, I will write Ottawa.
