Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am O.K. and that Syd is still down at the base. Have just written a few lines to Bessie.

I expect by the time this reaches you that you will be thinking of going home.

Have been on the move quite a lot lately and we are still going so I've got to get a wiggle on to get this note mailed as I may not have a chance to write for a week or so.

Some of the boys saw Syd down at the base and say he was looking O.K. and having an easy time of it and enjoying himself.

Glad to hear you seem to be enjoying your trip. Love to all.
