Dear Mrs. Addison:

Just a short note to let your know that I received your very welcome parcel some time ago, and I wish to thank you and Humewood School very much for your kindness.

It has been some time since I received the parcel but I misplaced your address and just got it again.

We hear you have been having a little snow at home. To-day there was a few flakes after raining for awhile, but its been mostly fog and frost here.

I managed to get back to England here for Christmas after travelling around France and Belgium for awhile. Of course we most likely will be going back there some day but so far we are just working as usual here. I dont know why we are back but there doesn’t seem to be any good reason for it.

We had a fairly good Xmas & New Year’s even if it was kind of quiet. I hope you all had a good time and hope the New Year will be better than ever.

So with that I will close for now and thank you again for the parcel.

I remain as Ever
