Dear Mother:-
Rec your letter to-night ..... glad to hear from home ..... body. I have just come off ..... and we are to be inspected ..... Loggie to-morrow and I ..... act as a Sgt. The worst ..... could put me in for tho..... but I have just foud out ..... I know as much as ..... it would be pretty hard for anybody to get homesick down here we are all together nearly all The time and I like it fine now I never hear any of the Bay fellows kicking They all seem to like it fine.
The only this is They are all broke Just now to-morrow is pay day but I guess we wont get any till next day now. There is nothing here The town is very quite There is two small ..... never see any one dru..... They cant get it at ..... towns around here a..... Dunk went to Toronto .....Saturday to see Dan ..... and Then he went to ..... I Think he is going to ..... to Desert. I dont Thi..... will come back here ..... Jack Jarrell got a ..... his mother to-night ..... will write for him to ..... What is Ray doing ..... from the horse money I got the pictures of Anna all Right and got the letter from Alice too well I will have to close for it is so dark I cant see now. I am going to St Catherins and Niagara Falls on Sunday if I can get away it only costs 1.00 Return I can see both places at once like That I will write to Anna soon. I cant see to write .....
