Just a few lines I have not had a letter from you this week yet but suppose there will be one along soon. at [?] I hope so. I found out a few days ago where Douglas Reid was. I had a letter from one of the [?] [?] and the letter went to 17 Reserve Btt. he opened it and then sent the letter on he said he did not notice that is was mine until after. he has sure been lucky in Eng for [?] a year
How is the skating this winter I would sure ilke to get onto the ice for a little while.
I am just chewing at those chocolates you sent they are sure fine I don't know whether I even thanked you for them or not but I will now.
Jessie did you ever get a letter 85th [?] sent from England if you did not let me know. I sent Ellen one of the same kind. I also you a tea apron. I hope you got O.K. A fellow could get lots of nice things if he only had the franks.

Since writing these few lines [?] received a nice letter from Father and you and I guess I will a add a few more line to it you tell me in your letter that you have received the tea apron for which I am very glad. and that you are satisfied with it I had a letter from Sadie a few days ago and two snaps of her. by the look of it and the room they are very comfortable
The tea apron I sent you was made I Paris they sure do some lovely work. yes they cost quite a bit of money. I will try and get you what you ask for. well I must write a few more letters today
