Dear Bro.

Recieved your most welcome letter written Nov. 28 and sure glad to hear from you and that you are getting along so well.

Were you down home for Christmas or were you too busy through the holidays. I suppose they would pass quite a lonesome Christmas too.

Talk about weather we sure are having it here. Rain snow and everything else combined it sure must be Hell up the lines. We have had snow on the ground for over a month.

I sure would like to have about half a million to invest in that war loan stunt.

You say they aren’t doing very well in Quebec. They aren’t apt to for those French Canadians must have a streak of yellow up their backs about a foot wide.

You say you are sending a parcel. I hope it soon comes along for it is seldom you get anything from Canada in this country. There is nothing that I know that I need that you could send from there, of course we don’t get much money in this country. We are supposed to get twenty cents a day but we haven’t recieved it so far and I wouldn’t write home for any for I guess they need it as bad as I do.

There is some talk of getting leave pretty soon. I am going to try and get to Blighty for mine so I can see Harold. Haven’t heard from him for a couple of weeks and he was fine the last I did hear from him.

I recieved eleven letters yesterday but they were the first in about a month and a half. I guess they were held up somewhere on the road.

Well Walter there isn’t much news in this country for you know you aren’t allowed to say very much so guess I had better close for now.
