Dear Leo,

Your very welcome letter of Jan. 9th arrived the other day. I was awfully glad to hear from you and to know that you are getting along so well. I do hope you won't be called up, not for a while at any rate.

We are down here at Seaford just now taking an engineering course and will not be through for a while yet.

Today we received word that the Fifth Division has been busted up, and a draft already picked out for the 26th. I don't know how true it is, but it comes from a pretty reliable source. I hope I may be lucky enough to get in the next draft for the 26th that is all I wish.

So Vincent paid great attention to School St. while on his vacation did he? Surely his persistence will win its reward in the end, but it must have afforded great amusement for some of the fellows. I'll bet Louis made some nice speeches over it.

Now it is getting late so I must close with love - will write you more fully when I find out for a certainty if the Div. is busted.

Vic
