Mrs. Michael Murphy,
17 Patrick Street,
C I T Y.
DEAR MRS. MURPHY,-
We have not received the decision from the Govern-ment regarding discretionary powers to the Board of Pension Commissioners under which authority your claim for considera-tion on your pension would be given. I anticipate, however, that we will receive same within the fortnight.
I am expecting a reply from the Patriotic Association regarding an allowance for you if their funds will permit same.
In the meantime, I am this date forwarding you a quarter ton of coal and ten dollars worth of groceries which will assist you temporarily.
Yours very faithfully,
[?]
DOMINION SECRETARY.
