Dear Mother:-

Received a parcel from you this morning and was awfully glad to get it. I also got a parcel yesterday morning but I don't know who it was from because there was no note in it and the address was printed but it was a good one anyway.

You wanted to know if my wound was painful, I haven't had ten minutes pain with it since I was hit, but I had an operation on Monday they only scraped the bone so I don't know whether it will heal up now or not but I am feeling allright so don't worry.

It has been very rotten weather here all week but its nice and fine today.

Well I must close for this time as I have no news and hoping you are all well.
