Dearest Jessie:

Just a few lines as Spence is writing I will put this in with his we have been in the line for some time and not much chance to write

Sent Father a card a few days ago

I don't know when we come out of the line but I hope it won't be long the mud is fierce it has been raining this last day or two well we are going for a bath so will out this for now.

Well here I am again I haven't heard from you for about a month

Spencer got you're your letter which I suppose he is answering today

how is Harold [] hope he will be alright soon.

if you see John you might tell him that I could read a letter if he would write me I haven't heard from him for a long time I suppose he is still in [?] how is Skinner getting along with his car Doug went to Eng. a few days ago for then days Spence had a card from him this am he said he was having a good time I should think he would after being over here for six months well Jess I don't think I can write anymore this time
