Fri. Apr. 27 -

Weather still fine. Was up to gas school again in afternoon to show a couple of fellows the way. Pitcher, Matthews & I are sent up from the wagon lines to replace three gunners at guns who will go back for awhile. We walked up in evening - our kit was taken on mess wagon. Had to duck a few whizz bangs as we neared dugout at guns. Lots of shells flying around here. We have a fine place to sleep in in cellar of a ruined house. Had to help fix up gun position after dark then turned in about 10 o'clock.
