My Dear Mr. Lapp:
You will be pleased to hear that the Cobourg boys in the Heavy battery are in splendid shape, in spite of the hard work during the past few days handling, feeding and shipping about 2,000 horses, nearly all of which came from Ontario. They are as fine, a lot as I ever saw, so superior to Nova Scotia horses.
With kind regards to all friends.
I am, yours fraternally,
J.W. ODELL
