Glad to get your nice letter a few days ago and the snaps they were dandy. who took them Ellen I suppose. Gow told me you had [?] I hope it didn't last long you ask me what the matter with the English girls there's nothing the matter with them. They seem pretty nice but I haven't met many. and don't know much about them. you speak about Mrs. P. Burris of course she talked about the place a lot. but me talk about this country the same its quite a change going form Liverpool to Musq. there is a big difference you know. the 85th haven't gone yet expect to go some time this week. but I hope they don't. I would like to see Spencer.
