Dear Bernice:

I suppose you and Gladys are hashing things over a'plenty. So I jumped in the back seat and said for why. Any clashes with them yet? Nothing of interest to write about now, but expect soon to be able to write a long letter. No shows worthwhile to go to. Take those out and there isn't much else. Saw one last week-it was a spectacular performance, ha! Have just come back from the mess hall. Am some chow hound these days. It's raining quite hard today, so just dodge out between showers. I love to hear the rain drops on the tent. Makes it seem so cosy inside. My four tent mates are as busy as myself. Two of us writing letters, one reading and the other sleeping. Had a letter from DeMille, and one from Aunt Clara. They both have sent me some maple sugar. Went to the post exchange this morning for my rations. Got extra candy, and of course have been devouring it. I do hope Gladys is enjoying her visit, in fact both of you. Got a V-mail from Gladys this week. No word from you in ages. Helen and Win have moved again. Be writing you again soon.

Love to all, Frank
