My own darling Doll.

I am here at last, having arrived quite safely this afternoon.  The ambulance which was supposed to meet me, went to the C.P.R. station in mistake, so I phoned and asked them what I was to do.  They told me to wait, and they would send another, so after waiting about half an hour it arrived.

This is sure some joint, believe me.  I am in the neurasthenia ward, and all around me are men who are shivering and shaking like jellies.  You can take if from me Doll, the sooner I am out and back in Regina, the more pleased I’ll be.

I went around to Balmoral St this afternoon.  They were all pleased to see me, but couldn’t understand why I had left you behind.  You know they think you are in lodgings, and I didn’t enlighten them.  I left there at 7 this evening, although I didn’t have to be in here until 10.  I felt so lonely without you, that I simple couldn’t stick it.  Gee Doll, I sure do miss you, even though it is only 24 hours since I last saw you.  I am going to ask the M.O. in the morning, to pass me through here as soon as he possibly can.

It is nearly bed time, so I must close, will write you a long letter tomorrow, and tell you all the news.

Remember me to Ma and Frid.

With all my love, hugs and kisses
Your most devoted husband.
Sid.
