Jake :-

Well old boy, How is she going.  Fine I hope.  I am not too bad and enjoying myself a lot.  I must apoligize without excuse for not writing.  I was writing you a while ago but a hail of .88mm Shells changed my mind and I ducked for cover.  By the sound of your letters you are not getting my mail 3 to Niobe and 2 to Drumheller

As you may know I got a new watch from home.  It’s a beaut.

I just got back from Rome after 4 nice days there.  Pal, She’s beautiful.  Dames and all.  I saw St. Peter’s Cathedral and it must have cost a fortune.  The Old Colliseum and the Catacombs were also visited by yours truly.

George is still in Hospital and I wish he would hurry on out as I am dying to see him I guess he is quite all right there though.  Nice beds and good grub.

The weather here is very hot and I’m burnt to a crisp.  The best tan I have had in years has taken hold on my feeble frame.

I just finished a letter to Dot.  I have some Souvenirs for here from Rome.  Say, Did you ever here from that limey broad again.  The one in Tottenham.  Is she still on your tail

Well Jake, I guess this is all the news for now.

Lots of luck -
a Pal and Bro.
Wally
