Dear Mom :-

Well here is my first Air Mail form I was able to secure and my first thought was to get it home.  I hope you are all well at home.   I am doing swell and having a good time with George and Merv. for company.

I have not been able to see your Aunt Clara as yet as I have not had a pass and she lives a good 100 miles from here but on my first chance I will go up if funds prevail.

I have only recieved two letters from Canada so far, one from you and one from Jake and his was mailed on Sept. 6.  I have wrote to Aunts Gwen and Cis to the Gammons and to Viv so all I need now is a few answers.

Concerning your question as to the fairer sex here I must say they are undoubtably quite cute and have a good Personality which helps alot.  They often invite you for a cup of [?].

G.M. and I are going out again tonight but where we are going I have not idea.  We may go to London one of these days and see what it is all about.

Mervyn is changing companies tomorrow so we will be seperated but still in the same camp anyway.

It is a nice place over here in the Blackout but I am used to it now.  Occasonally Fritz comes over but he never gets very far.  I will be freed from my F.P. tomorrow so I can go out again.

Well Mom I guess this is all the news I have at present so I will close wishing you all the luck in the world with lots of luck.

A loving Son
Wally
