Mom :-

Just a short note to let you know I am still O.K. and in the best of health.  I am sorry for the delay in writing but I don’t get much time now.  I hope you are all O.K. at home and not working to hard.

I have not met George yet but I guess I will sooner or later.  He should be around somewhere.  I have not wrote to Mervyn yet but I will this week.

Well Mom, there is one thing around here in abundance and that is oranges.  I am eating so many of them I am beginning to feel like one.  Every time I go on a March I eat about 5 at least.

There is something else that is very nice to see at night and that is old Mount Vesuvius.  She sure is a pretty site but is doing an awful lot of damage.

I met young Alex Marshall down here.  You may remember him from our gang.  There are quite a few of the fellows around.

It is Pay day today so I guess I will have to close as its in 10 minutes.  The only thing down here is that there is nothing to spend it on.  “That is outside of Vino” and I can’t drink it.  So here’s wishing you all the luck.  Give my regards to whoever is interested and write soon.

A loving son.
