Dear Mom and Viv :-

I have received a couple of letter from you and Mom since I last wrote to you and I thought I was never going to get a chance to write to you.  I have changed my camp now as you may notice by the address.  George was here in this camp but he is no longer here.  Mervyn is enjoying himself in his new outfit.  Since they both left I have nothing to do.

I am still in training but I ain’t enjoying it very much.  I had a couple of letters from Mrs Lonsdale and she asked me to come up and see her on my leave but that was cancelled and that settles that.  Her boy Peter has arrived in the Middle east and she says he is doing O.K.

Jack seems to have a good time on his leave what with parties and all that.  I wish I could have been there.  Tell Viv to stay away from those pidgeons (only kidding).  I was up to London last week and I had a pretty good time.  There is quite a lot to see up there and you need quite a few days to go over the whole thing.  I did not go up and see Jack’s girl but had a good mind to.

Well Mom, I guess this is all the good and bad news I have at present so I will have to close.

Lots of Luck.
A loving Son
