Dear Phyl:

Just a line so that I can say that I wrote though I dont think I will have much to say as there just isnt much to say and it is getting kind of late. We have just had a lunch so I guess I can hold out till morning. One of the fellas in the room got a parcel to-night with a can of beans so we had beans, bread and butter and Oreo: Should sleep well on that dont you suppose. I have your Air Mail letter of Dec 28 recieved on Jan 6 and your parcel of Nov 24 arrived yesterday. It didnt get here for Christmas but it got here and thats what matters. It was sure swell to have the nuts but the cookies and bars were were nice as well. Thanks a heap Phyl. I will be trying to get you some soveniers but there are not many places open on Sunday and that is the only time that we have off. What do I think of purchasing the Lyle place well I think its a darn good idea.

By the way, on my address just put Cdn Army Overseas, do not put Belgium on it.
